EMG appoints new general manager for Shanghai office

Bergen op Zoom, March 17th, 2010 – EMG, the leading international specialist industrial & B2B marketing communications agency, today announced the appointment of Helen Han as general manager of its Shanghai operation.

Helen holds a degree in Management Science & Marketing, and started her career in advertising with Saatchi & Saatchi and then JWT. She has held client side roles with Nabisco Foods, Hewlett Packard (in Germany) and Henkel Cosmetics, and therefore has a broad mix of communications experience across various B2B and B2C sectors on both the client and agency side of the business. Most recently she has spent the last 5 years founding and developing IMC, a German-owned integrated communications agency in Shanghai.

Helen's appointment follows a series of senior additions to the EMG China team over recent months, which has included two new account directors and the promotion to account manager of several of it's core senior account executive talents. These moves are designed to further strengthen the business to take advantage of the growing need for specialist B2B communications amongst clients across the materials, chemicals, technology, manufacturing and automation sectors.

EMG opened its first office in China in Shanghai in 2004, expanding with a second office in Beijing in 2007. The company now employs over 25 communication specialists across the two offices.
